Watching Tomsk

The process by which Russia conquered Siberia was analogous in some respects to the western expansion of the USA.   One of the critical events in this process was the establishment of the city of Tomsk, which was affected by the decree of the Tsar shortly after the turn of the 16th century.  While it's no longer the largest city in the region, it is the educational capital of Siberia and in many respects its cultural capital.  Check out this city on the Tom River in this drone video by Mayday Studios.
