Unesco World Heritage Jatiluwih Rice Terrace

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Among the phenomena for which the Indonesian island of Bali is known are its famous rice terraces.  While rice terraces aren't unique to the island, the style in which they are built here is quite distinctive.  They use an irrigation system called Subak, which represents the application of centuries of localized irrigation techniques and expertise.  Amongst the most well known terraces are located around Jatiluwih.  It's a UNESCO World Heritage site located a roughly 60 minute drive northwest of Danpassar.
