This Is Mountain Climbing

Contributor Ori Feldman brought a DJI Mavic Pro drone along on an epic trip up to Italy's highest mountain to create this amazing video.  It's shot in the area around Monte Rosa, Italy's highest mountain peak at just over 4.6k meters (about 15.2k ft.), and the second highest peak in the Alps.  The mountain massif covers portions of the Val d'Aosta and Piedmont regions of Italy, with a portion on Swiss soil.  It lies to the east of the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, the latter being the highest peak in the  Alps.

Alpine climbing in the Italian Alps, around Monte Rosa. Controlling the drone in those heights and in those conditions wasn't an easy task, as strong winds and low temperature in 4000's mountain peaks in the Alps are very common. Because of that, In most cases, when i reached the mountain peaks, i had to give up on flying the drone, but when i did have the option and conditions were ok, the scenery was amazing and it was completely worth it (even though i got some frost bites on my fingers, and even now, 1 month later, i still can't feel a part of .my middle finger :)) Equipment: DJI Mavic Pro Canon 700D (Time Lapse) GoPro 3 and 3+ (During the climbing) Music: Lights in the Sky/Caleb Etheridge https://app.soundstripe.com/songs/5732
