Check out this drone video of Birmingham, Alabama, compliments of contributor a.mcannally.  The largest city in the Yellowhammer State, it's named after the great industrial city of Birmingham, England.  Founded after the Civil War, Birmingham became one of the most important manufacturing centers in the American South.  Once called the Pittsburgh of the South because of its steel industry, in recent decades the city has diversified into financial services and other non-manufacturing sectors.
