Dinkytown, Minneapolis
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Contributor Gopherdrone created this drone video of the Dinkytown neighborhood of Minneapolis, just north of the University of Minnesota campus. The neighborhood revolves around campus life. Its live music scene helped to launch the career of a young singer-songwriter named Robert Zimmerman, who was a UofM undergraduate in 1959-60. He lived in the Dinkytown building that now houses the Loring Pasta Bar before dropping out, moving to New York, and (officially) changing his name - to Bob Dylan.

Dinkytown, Minneapolis, near the UofM Campus. The Loring Pasta Bar at 4th St. and 14th Ave. (the building with the green vertical sign) used to be Gray's Drugstore; Bob Dylan lived in an apartment above the store when he was a UofM undergrad in 1959-60 before he headed to New York City. The rest is history. While there is some debate about this, it is believed by some (including yours truly) that his 1964 hit "Positively 4th Street" was inspired by his time living here on 4th Street, so I picked up a shot at 1:20 that shows the 4th Street sign and the sign on the building where he lived. In full disclosure, there is another school of thought that the 4th Street is actually the 4th Street in Greenwich Village (NY) which is where he ended up after Minneapolis. Who knows - it could be either or both or maybe it's neither.
