Top AirVuz contributor roman.malik brings us this stunning wintertime piece from the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia.  Home to the highest peaks in the Carpathian Mountain system, the Tatra's form part of the natural boundary between Slovakia and Poland to the north.  The Tatra range occupies an area of about 800 square km (around 300 square mi.), of which about three-quarters is on Slovakian territory.  Their highest peak, Slovakia's Gerlachovský štít, has an elevation of a bit under 2.7k meters above sea level or about 8.7k ft.
