Ta'Pinu - Gozo Malta

Known informally simply as Ta' Pinu, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu is one of the most famous churches in the Mediterranean island nation of Malta. It's located on Gozo, the northern of the country's two main island. Built on the site of an earlier structure, the church was consecrated in 1932 following a ten year construction period. Seen in this drone video by AirVuz contributor jbpix_, the church saw visits by Pope John Paul II in 1980 and Pope Benedict XVI in 2010.

The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu (Maltese: Santwarju Bażilika tal-Madonna ta' Pinu) is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine located some 700 metres (2,300 ft) from the village of Għarb on the island of Gozo, the sister island of Malta. The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu. The basilica is located in open countryside which allows visitors to enjoy beautiful views of the area and is of great national importance to Gozitans everywhere.
