Sunrise at Cape Spear lighthouse, Newfoundland, CANADA

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this excellent drone video of a lighthouse at the eastern extremity of North America, compliments of new AirVuz contributor and pilot chrisstratton. He filmed Cape Spear Lighthouse, which is located on a promontory on the Avalon Peninsula on the eastern side of the Canadian island of Newfoundland. The video features both the original 1836 lighthouse as well as the still-operational lighthouse built in 1955. You'll also see the World War II era gun emplacements which were built here to protect Allied convoys.

This is my first drone video. I spent 2 days filming the sunrise at North America's most eastern point Cape Spear. Due to its proximity to convoy routes during the Second World War, a Canadian-manned gun battery with 2 10-inch M1888 guns was installed at Cape Spear to defend the entrance to St. John's harbor
