The area filmed isknown as Kakheti, which was formed shortly after Georgia achieved independence from the Soviet Union in the 1990's by combining the historical province of Kakheti and the small province of Tusheti. Highlights of the video include the hilltop village of Signagi and the Vashlovani National Park, known for its "badlands" landscapes as well as its shallow forests.
