Sand & The City

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

In one small corner of the UAE, one can see a desert, visually unchanged for centuries, juxtaposed against one of the world's most impressive and modern skylines.  Top content creator and pilot Madebyvadim used a DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone, combined with Sony and Canon ground cameras, to create this short but amazing video montage of the great city rising from the dunes of the ancient desert.  The city of Dubai sits on the edge of the Empty Quarter, generally regarded as the largest continuous desert area in the world.

Sand & the City is a video from a recent trip to Dubai. This time I combine aerial & ground footage as well as timelapses. Information: 50Gb of data shoot on 4 locations: desert, downtown of Dubai, outskirts of Dubai and Dubai metro. Aerial video shoot with DJI Phantom 3 Professional and ground video with Canon 70D and Sony a600, timelipses created with Canon. The video was edited in Adobe Premier with some tweaks in After Effects. Colour correction made in Premier, then I added additional sounds in Audition, then back to Premier for final grading and after that some little flare were added in After Effects.
