It's part of the Ciutat Vella district, which takes up much of the Mediterranean coastline of Spain's second largest city. The area affords beautiful views of the harbor, and is famous for its sand beaches. It's also home to probably the most recognizable modern landmark of the city: the sail-shaped W Barcelona Hotel, which opened in 2009.

Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world. On this trip, I spent most of my time in Barceloneta at the W Hotel. It's a small but scene coastal/marina/shipyard area along the central coast region. I broth the DJI Mavic with me, checked the local laws, and flew in between meetings and events.
