AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Contributor Manx.cat put together this beautiful reel of aerial highlights of St. Petersburg, Russia's second largest city and one-time capital. The video opens with a shot looking down one of the city's canals at the gold dome of St. Isaac's Cathedral, the largest Eastern Orthodox church in the world. From there it cuts to the magnificent Peterhof Palace, known as the Russian Versailles. The video will then take you around to other notable spots in this magnificent city, Peter the Great's Window on Europe.

I have posted my "Saint Petersburg postcards" video to a Facebook group dedicated to drone video critique and have received some stinging (but very fair) feedback. While I can not change the original footage, I have tried to address some of the issues mentioned, such as distracting transitions, tilted horizons and video-to-soundtrack relationship. Enjoy. Я разместил "Петербургские открытки" в группе Фейсбука, посвящённой критике видеоматериала снятого при помощи квадрокоптеров - где тут же получил по ушам (и за дело) за неровную линию горизонта, ненужные и отвлекающие переходы от одного клипа к другому, и так далее. Я установил Final Cut Pro X и попробовал устpанить по крайней мере некоторые из недостатков. Не знаю лучше ли получилось или нет - не мне судить, но было интересно. И моя строчка под предыдущим видео остаётся в силе - "С любовью и грустью".
