AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist TravelPenguin brings us this excellent drone view of Portugal's Sagres Fortress. It's located at the tip of a promontory in the region of Algarve which represents the southwesternmost point of mainland Europe. The fortification was originally built in the 16th century, as Portugal was assembling its vast overseas empire. Heqavily damaged by the great earthquake of 1755 which destroyed Lisbon, the fortress was restored to its present state in the middle of the 20th century.
