Rawalpindi, sometimes known as Pindi, is located in the giant state of Punjab, adjacent to the national capital of Islamabad. Like the rest of the country, Pakistan's fourth-largest city was under what was in effect a shelter-in-place order which went into place on April 1 to contain the spread of the disease.
