It's the Portillo Resort, and it's located in the country's Valparaiso Region, about 160 km (around 100 mi.) from the Chilean capital city Santiago. With a base elevation of about 2.9k meters above sea level (around 9.45k ft.), the resort's lifts reach an altitude of about 3.3k meters or around 10.85k ft. It's hosted numerous international competitions, notably the World Alpine Ski Championship in 1966.

Portillo is a ski resort located in the Andes Mountains of Chile, in the Valparaiso region and close to the city of Los Andes a 160 km (100 mi) drive from Santiago. Your hotel is located at an altitude of 2,880 m (9,450 ft) above sea level and the largest lift reaches 3,310 m (10,860 ft). Opened in 1949, it hosted the World Alpine Ski Championship in August 1966. The summit of the mountain (Water Ojos) rises to 4,222 m (13,852 ft). Nearby peaks include Los Tres Hermanos at 4,751 m (15,587 ft) and La Paraya at 4,831 m (15,850 ft). Aconcagua, the highest peak in the western and southern hemispheres, is nearby at 6,961 m (22,838 ft). The lagoon "Laguna Del Inca" is a beauty apart. Legend has it that her name refers to an Inca princess who died during preparations for her wedding being buried in the region. The stream that drains the lake is a tributary of the Juncalillo River, which flows into the Juncal River. Today the visitation is limited in the region of the Hotel and can not surpass it, for example to the lagoon (except the guests), but it is very worth for the beauty of the place and also the access road.
