Piscinas and its dunes, Costa Verde, Sardinia

The coastal dune system of the Dune di Piscinas is an area of ​​sand dunes located in western Sardinia, in the municipality of Arbus, and extends for approximately 28 square kilometers. The dunes, which extend inland from the coast for approximately two kilometers, reach a height of approximately 100 meters and are shaped by winds blowing from the sea. They are among the highest living dunes in Europe and have been defined, along with the Giara di Gesturi, as a unique natural environment.
