The Asturian Art has as its maximum representation the monuments of the Asturian Pre-Romanic. It covers the periods between the 8th and the late 10th centuries. San Pedro de Nora is a temple that dates from the middle of the IX century. Of the initial monument documents are not conserved, and it has undergone an important restoration to measured of the last century to recompose the destructions caused by a fire caused by the republican army during the Civil War. The bell tower that is elevated to its side, does not have any document that indicates that it existed initially, it is a contribution of Luis Menéndez Pidal in the restoration.
