The Vincent Thomas Bridge connects the community of San Pedro, California with Terminal Island to its east.  Terminal Island is the home of the two busiest container ports in the United States: the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.  For historical reasons, these two ports have remained not only independent but intensely competitive.  Together, the two ports handle as many containers as the next 4-5 ports combined.  In this video from DeeFair23, you'll get a bird's eye view of this important span.
