Old Closed Mountain Road in Canyon Ahtzu

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this rather stunning drone video from a canyon of the Caucasus Mountains in Southern Russia, compliments of multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner DroneProduction.ru. The video follows the route of a road through the canyon, which used to be the only route between the city of Sochi and the ski resort of Rosa Khutor. The road was replaced prior to the Winter Olympics held in 2014 (the XXII Olympic Winter Games), which were hosted in Sochi and whose alpine skiing events took place at the ski resort.

Russia. Caucasus mountains near Sochi. Canyon Ahtzu with old closed road in rocks between Sochi and Rosa Khutor. Before Olympic Game 2014 were build new fast and safe road. But this part of old road saved as cultural monument. Video filmed as one short and originally it was 1960meters far, 270meters in hight and 4 min long, but I made it faster in postproduction. Sometimes it is good to make some thing happen faster than in real life :)
