AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Surprising to many, Europe's tallest mountains are not to be found in the Alps but rather in the Caucasus, the range which serves (along with the Black Sea) as the continent's southern boundary with Asia. The highest Caucasus summit is Mt. Elbirus, which is nearly 850 meters (around 2.7k ft.) higher than France's Mt. Blanc. Nor do the more famous Alps have anything on the Caucasus in terms of sheer natural beauty.
