Muros is one of the most remote towns in Spain. It's located on the western coast of A Coruña, the northwestern most province of Spain's northwesternmost region of Galicia. A very old harbor town, Muros continues to be heavily reliant on the fishing industry. In recent years, the town has seen an influx of tourism due to its proximity to Lighthouse Way, a stretch of the Galician coastline once known as the Coast of Death due to its danger to ships.
