Metropolitan Istanbul

One of the most modern-looking parts of Istanbul is its Ataşehir District.  It's located on the eastern (Asian) side of the city, one district "in" from both the Bosphorus Strait (to the west) and the Sea of Marmara (to the south).  It's a sort of satellite city, and is in the midst of a construction phase where nearly 20k high-end residences will be built for its expected population of about 80k.  It's considered one of the most affluent areas of this vast metropolis, one of the largest cities in the world.
