Mausoleum of Emperor Augustus, Rome (Italy)
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Brand-new AirVuz contributor Martin_Ruggieri brings us this fantastic drone video of Rome's Mausoleum of Hadrian, also known as Castel Sant'Angelo. Commissioned by its namesake emperor in the second century AD, it was the tallest building in Rome for centuries. Situated in the Parco Adriano district on the northern bank of the Tiber and just east of Vatican City, it was later used as a papal fortress. The Castel Sant'Angelo was de-commissioned in the early 20th century and is now a popular museum.

The Mausoleum of Augustus is a large tomb built by the Roman Emperor Augustus in 28 BC on the Campus Martius in Rome, Italy. The mausoleum is located on the Piazza Augusto Imperatore, near the corner with Via di Ripetta as it runs along the Tiber. The grounds cover an area equivalent to a few city blocks nestled between the church of San Carlo al Corso and the Museum of the Ara Pacis. After being closed for fourteen years for restoration work, the mausoleum was reopened to the public in March 2021
