Iztaccihuatl is a dormant volcano that sits on the border between the states of Mexico and Puebla in Central Mexico. With a peak elevation of 5.2k meters (about 17.2k ft.), it's the #3 mountain in the country after Pico de Orizaba and Popocatépetl. All three peaks are part of the great Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, a chain of volcanoes which runs roughly east-west through the middle of the country
