Amazing La Paz Baja California Sur, México

La Paz is the capital of the state of Baja California Sur, the lower half of Mexico's Baja Peninsula.  Situated on Concepcion Bay which leads into the Gulf of California (also known as the Sea of Cortez), La Paz has seen large increases in tourist traffic in recent years.  Earlier, La Paz was the setting for John Steinbeck's 1947 classic novel The Pearl, one of his only works not set in California.
