KENYA AFRICA FPV Dhows | ManuelBassil X Kaleidoscope Festival Watamu

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot MANUEL BASSIL earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this amazing video from a festival on the Indian Ocean coastline of Kenya.  It's annual Kaleidoscope Festival, which is held in early Spring in Watamu, a small coastal town located about 65 mi. (around 105 km) north of Mombasa, the country's primary port city.  The event filmed is a DJ music concert held aboard several dhows, a type of sailing vessel which originated in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean regions.

BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

Experience the magic of Watamu, Kenya's annual Kaleidoscope Festival through mesmerizing aerial footage. Amidst the Indian Ocean, dhows unite to form a floating stage where music resonates harmoniously with nature. From 2 kilometers away, my FPV drone captured stunning shots, showcasing the festival's blend of cultural beats and wildlife serenity. Pelicans soar, waves dance, and sunset hues paint a backdrop as music bridges the gap between human creativity and Africa's untamed beauty. This visual journey encapsulates the essence of Kaleidoscope, where every frame tells a story of unity and wonder.
