AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Contributor and pilot Xavier de Diego Perarnau created this stunning drone video of the northern part of the African nation of Kenya. The country's northern region differs substantially from the more well known southern reaches, where most of the country's wild game preserves are located. In contrast, Northern Kenya, which borders Ethiopia and Somalia, is a mountainous and desert country. This video was chosen as a finalist for the 2016 Interdrone Film Festival in the Natural Wonders category.

The InterDrone Film Festival, sponsored by Ehang, gives aerial cinematographers a stage where they can show their best footage shot by a UAV. The celebration of finalists and winners will happen Wednesday evening September 7, during a reception at InterDrone, the International Drone Conference and Exposition, held at the Paris in Las Vegas.

The InterDrone Film Festival features both a critic’s and people’s choice awards in 6 categories plus a Best Overall.
