Jiufen Golden Waterfall and 十三層遺址, Taiwan

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Content creator RoamwithJohn used a drone to create this aerial video of the area around Jiufen, a mountainous area of northern Taiwan. Situated in the Ruifang District of New Taipei City (the administrative area which covers most of suburban Taipei) Jiufen is home to some of the oldest gold mining operations in east Asia. The video also features footage of Jiufen Falls (the "Golden Falls"), one of the most well known waterfalls in Taiwan. Unfortunately, the mining activity has left a legacy of environmental contamination here.

These are clips of a beautiful coastal area on the northeast corner of Taiwan. Jiufen is a small city that used to be a mining town. Unfortunately, I do not know what 十三層遺址 is in translation but these are old abandoned buildings sitting high in the hills. Then, there is the beautiful Jiufen Golden Waterfall.
