Contributor JB-Ireland created this beautiful drone video of an important fortress in southern Ireland.  The Charles Fort is situated on Kinsale Harbor in Cork, the southernmost Irish county.  It is an example of what is known as a bastion for, which was a style that evolved as a means to deal with early cannon.  Named after Charles II, the then-king of England, the fort was completed in 1682.  Certain design weaknesses were in evidence when the fort was captured in a short seige barely a decade later.
