Gimme Shelter on the Mississippi

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : The Mississippi is the longest river in the USA. Its mouth is near New Orleans, Louisiana, and its highest navigable point is at St. Anthony Falls in Minnesota. In the late 1800's, Minneapolis sprang up as a major city by harnessing the Mississippi's flow over the falls to create the world's largest flour milling center. MavicTraveler used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create an aerial view of this critical point on the Mississippi, which since the 1950's has been navigable for smaller watercraft via a series of locks.

I was up in Minnesota for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend and took my Mavic just in case I had time. Was able to get out and fly over the falls near downtown Minneapolis and got some great footage, just haven't had much time to edit it. This was my first time using the new Fixed Wing mode; you can tell from the footage it's Fixed Wing mode when it looks more like the view from an airplane cockpit instead of super-steady. Hopefully I will be able to cut some more videos from my footage.
