Flooded Marble Quarries - Ruskeala

"Ruskeala" - an unique attraction of Karelia. Picturesque marble cliffs are reflected in the greenish surface of the cleanest lakes. The basis of the complex is a former marble quarry filled with groundwater. The length of the quarry from north to south is 460 meters, width - up to 100 meters. The distance from the highest point of the pit to its bottom is over 50 meters. A marble-lime factory was located next to the quarry. There is only fancy stoves left from it. Zipline is pulled along the quarry, on which we of course rode and flew one after another!
