Fall in Maury

I’ve been flying the Autel Robotics Evo Lite Plus over the last 2 years. I had a mishap back in September when it suddenly fell out of the sky. Luckily I was landing when it dropped right in front of me. I was able to salvage my footage from that flight. The only thing I could figure is that there was some type of battery issue. Hearing the rumors of a new DJI release, I did not rush out to get another Evo Lite Plus. I loved my Lite Plus, but it had some shortcomings that annoyed me. I always envied the feature set of the latest DJI releases. This was my chance to try my first DJI drone. I must say that thus far, I am very pleased. The Air 3S is so fast and nimble. It takes no time getting it into the sky, no more phones! I can use a log profile in manual. The feature set will only add to my creativity. I almost forgot one of the main selling points, the 70mm camera. That alone may be worth the price of admission. I will miss the 20mp sensor with adjustable aperture, but I can live with that. I’m sure I will run into some geofencing issues. That has got me thinking about picking up another Lite Plus for a backup. The jury is still out on night shots. This is where my Evo Lite Plus shined! Can’t wait to film some nighttime cityscapes, so stay tuned.
