FPV Hockey on Rare Ice Freeze at Abandoned Ore Dock

I set out to capture sunrise along the lake earlier this same morning in hopes of catching the sea smoke that was occurring with sub-zero temps. I got some rad shots further up the shore and headed towards the Ore Dock, where I planned to fly my drone through the middle for the first time. I saw this gorgeous ice and came back with a makeshift spud to check the thickness and safety. I immediately posted in search of figure skaters to get some shots the next morning at sunrise. I got a plan together, but still came back at sunset to shoot some more footage while it was looking beautiful. As I was coming in from flying my first battery, I saw a couple skaters walking out onto the ice with sticks and pucks. After a brief chat, we set up this shot and got it on the first take! With a short window of sunshine before snowfall in a couple days, I made sure to capitalize on shooting this location.
