AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Ukraine's Donbas Region is named after the Donets River, a major Don tributary which runs through the eastern part of the country. The Donbas is closely associated with a single commodity: coal. At their peak in the 1970's, the Donbas coal mines produced over 200 million tons of coal annually. Due to a combination of political and economic factors, Donbas coal production is now less than 20% of its peak. In this drone video by smakozawr, you'll get a bird's eye view of this legacy: an abandoned coal mine and its giant excavators.

I have long wanted to get to the abandoned Konstantinovsky coal mine, where there are flooded excavators in the village of Berezovka. Unfortunately, much has already been cut and I was surprised when there is a huge crane on the map, but in fact it is already empty. I consider it my duty to remove this place for history as a drone and to show it to you so far not all looted.
