Bourdzi Fortress Nafplion Greece

Bourtzi Castle (Fortress) is one of the most well-recognized landmarks of the Greek port town of Nafplio, which lies on the Peloponnese Peninsula in the southern part of the country.  Seen in this drone video by AirVuz contributor Drone AéroView, the fortress is located in the middle of Nafplio's harbor.  It was constructed in the 15th century by the Venetians, who controlled a vast empire in the eastern Mediterranean Sea region for much of the Middle Ages.  The fortress was disarmed in the mid-19th century.
