This flight was an eye opener for me. Normally I see the buildings when they have the roof removed and falling down. Blairtummock House, located in Easterhouse, Glasgow, is a historic building with a rich architectural heritage. Originally constructed in the 18th century, it underwent several extensions and renovations in the 19th century, notably by iron-master Andrew Lamberton in 1904. The house features high-quality neoclassical details and a French iron-crested roof. After falling into disrepair, Blairtummock House was restored and converted into an Enterprise Centre by Simpson & Brown in 2005. The restoration preserved many original elements, including the entrance hall, billiard room, and main staircase. The building now provides office accommodation and community spaces, benefiting the local area. The surrounding estate includes a walled garden and garden house, which were also restored and incorporated into the overall design. Blairtummock House is a Category B-listed building, recognized for its historical and architectural significance.
