Bjelasica in Montenegro (Rakitsko lake and Church Sv.Ilija) 2020

Below the peak Turjak (1912 m above sea level) on Bjelasica, there is a small and unknown lake, which you will not find on the map and in the literature. The locals call it Rakitsko Lake, and it is located between the Katun Gudžaljina and the Rakit Katun, just below the Turjak peak. This lake can also be reached by car via the Omar Katun. Katun Omar is located at an altitude of 1692m, and in its vicinity are many other katuns such as Katun Guđaljina and Rakitski katun. In the immediate vicinity of the Omar katun, below the Turjak peak (1912 m above sea level), there is a small lake, which the locals call Rakit Lake. The top of Strmenica (2122 m above sea level) is also close by. By the way, the church of St. Ilija in Katun Omar was consecrated on August 2, 2011 on Ilindan, since when the People's Assembly has been organized at this place.
