Ansambel Karavanke, Bled, Slovenia

Without doubt, the most iconic site in the Central European nation of Slovenia is Lake Bled.  Located in the Julian Alps in the northwestern part of the country, the lake is known for its church-topped island as well as the magnificent medieval castle which overlooks the lake.  The Church, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary, generally dates to the 17th century.  Bled Castle is considerably older; it dates to the 11th century and possibly earlier.  Check out this beautiful sight from above in this drone video by Kolman Aerial.
