Top AirVuz contributor and pilot Michael Roth used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone to create this captivating aerial tour of a couple of gorgeous spots in the USA's Pacific Northwest region. The area appearing in the video is the valley of the Santiam River, a major tributary of the Williamette River which runs through northwestern Oregon. The piece was shot in two spots: Little North Fork River (a tributary of the Santiam River) and Detroit Lake, a reservoir created by an impoundment of the Santiam.

Just a few flights close to home here in Oregon up in the Santiam Valley. Little North Fork River and Detroit Lake is the only two spots I had to see all of this beauty. When the snow has arrived it is harder to get into the elevations you want to, but you still get to see plenty. Driving through a couple feet of snow to get to your destination is always fun and when you are the only one that has gone up the road to make first tracks it makes it all worth while! Gotta love Oregon glad I am close to the mountains and nature and it's beauty is so accessible.
