Absolutely Breathtaking: Lake at the top of a mountain in British Columbia - Long range FPV

Being able to go out several km/mi and return safely allows these pilots to reach places that might not even be accessible, and it also allows for very long single-take footage. This excellent piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot mactacfpv is a great example of this phenonemon; it was filmed flying over the mountains of British Columbia in Western Canada.

Three hours of driving, and 2 hours of a grueling hike up a super steep mountain brought us to this magical location, deep in the mountains of British Columbia for some long range FPV mountain surfing. The clouds kept creeping in and out, only leaving us small windows to fly, but eventually it cleared up and we got some fantastic flights in. The whole scene was incredible - a beautiful lake, surrounded by alpine trees and mountain peaks in all directions. The building you see near the end of the video is for hikers and skiers to stay overnight. I can't get enough of flying the mountains in BC. I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. I'm definitely going back to this peak again soon. ... Oh, and check out Hulk Hogan near the end.
