75 000 h.p. The Biggest Nuclear Icebreaker from DJI Inspire 2
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
DVA winner Timelab.pro created this stunning drone video of two Russian nuclear-powered icebreakers powering through the ice-covered Barents Sea. Fifty Years of Victory and the Yamal are the only two active Arctica-class icebreakers. These double-hulled vessels are just under 150 meters (486 ft.) long and displace about 25k tons. Their two OK900A nuclear reactors produce an incredible 340MW of power, enough "juice" to fully supply a medium-sized city. This video won the X-Factor category at the 6th Annual NYCDFF.

This video was shot in the Arctic Ocean in March 2018. For 7 days the film crew passed through the Barents Sea in Karasky around the Novaya Zemlya archipelago. In the video you can see two Russian icebreakers - “50 years of victory” and “Yamal” with a capacity of 75,000 horsepower and distinctive shark paste, which appeared in it in 1994 during one of the children's humanitarian programs. Someone suggested painting a smiling shark mouth on the nose to make it more fun for children. At present, Russia has the only nuclear-powered icebreaker fleet in the world. They are used to provide wiring ships in the waters of the Northern Sea Route in the freezing ports of the Russian Federation, research expeditions, rescue operations and tourist cruises. In addition to extreme weather conditions, the shooting took place in motion. And if the drone DJI Inspire 2 was flying over the radar embroidery, then the file with the record is damaged.
