The winner of episode 16 of our Drone Video of the Week contest is no stranger to taking home prizes. Congratulations to Russian production company Timelab.pro for their video 75 000 h.p. The Biggest Nuclear Icebreaker from DJI Inspire 2.
Filmed in March of last year, this video shows two Russian icebreaker ships traversing the Barents Sea off the northwestern coast of Russia. These ships are part of the only nuclear-powered icebreaker fleet in the world. Thanks to the high-quality imagery of the DJI Inspire 2, Timelab.pro showed off these ships in incredible detail — including the smiling shark mouth on the front of one of the ships. Congratulations again to Timelab.Pro, who adds a Drone Video of the Week win to their previous awards, including two Drone Video of the Year awards. They also take home $250 for this week’s win.

DVA winner Timelab.pro created this stunning drone video of two Russian nuclear-powered icebreakers powering through the ice-covered Barents Sea. Fifty Years of Victory and the Yamal are the only two active Arctica-class icebreakers. These double-hulled vessels are just under 150 meters (486 ft.) long and displace about 25k tons. Their two OK900A nuclear reactors produce an incredible 340MW of power, enough "juice" to fully supply a medium-sized city. This video won the X-Factor category at the 6th Annual NYCDFF.
