Two Wheel FPV Chasing: Motorcycles, Motocross, MTB, and Bicycles

Don't miss this high-energy video - a 2023 FPV Drone Video of the Year nominee - from top AirVuz content creator and first person view (FPV) pilot ShaggyFPV. The incredible flight is a chase of extreme MTB athlete Kade Edwards down the Red Bull Hardline track, found in Dyfi Valley, Wales (UK). The course is known as the world's toughest for mountain bikers, but it was also a challenge for drones due to the sheer size, dense tree cover, and frequent rain. Nonetheless, ShaggyFPV was up to the challenge and created this incredible take on the ride. 

Red Bull Athlete Tyler Bereman is one of the world's top practitioners of the art of freestyle motocross - FMX, for short.  And who better to film this legendary rider performing his aerial tricks than JohnnyFPV - one of the world's top FPV drone pilots.  Check out the action in this short but spectacular piece created in partnership with Red Bull Media House and DJI.  Notice how close the quad is able to get to the action! This incredible film won the Extreme Sports category at the 6th Annual NYCDFF in 2020. 

Legendary first person view (FPV) drone pilot JohnnyFPV filmed two of the world's top motorcycle drivers in this fantastic FPV piece, which was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February of 2022.  Riders Sean Kelly and Cameron Beaubier are part of the American Racing team, which competes in the Moto2 World Championship.  Moto2 bikes have three cylinders with about 765 cc of total displacement and produce about 140 hp.  The American Racing team is the only USA-owned team which competes in the league.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Ivan Merino brings us this fantastic FPV video of one of the world's top motorcycle drivers: Marc Márquez.   The Spanish-born driver has won eight Grand Prix motorcycle racing (MotoGP) championships through 2021, one of the best records in the entire sport.  Racing for Honda's factory team, Márquez is nicknamed the Thunder of Cervera in reference to his home town.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October of 2021.  

Legendary content creator Jay Christensen brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video which was produced as part of a promotional campaign for the legendary British motorcycle brand Triumph Motorcycles Ltd.  The piece features some phenomenal FPV footage that demonstrates both the capability of these iconic bikes to operate in a wide variety of environments as well as the unique ability of FPV drones to capture the dynamic action.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in March of 2022.  

The very talented content creator Jay Christensen earned himself a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in March, 2020 with this mind-blowing first person view (FPV) video from the Mall of America.  He was able to follow a motorcycle cruising through the USA's largest enclosed shopping mall, of course after house (hence the video's title).  Follow along with him as he zips around this gigantic momument to consumer culture, which opened for business in 1992 and which generally attracts over 40 million visitors per year.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Flylifeco used a BTS Cinelifter quad to create this action-packed video for Yamaha's BMX bikes.  Filmed in Colorado, the video features some magnificent slow-motion scenes of some epic jumps performed by some very skilled BMX riders.  It's a great example of how skilled FPV pilots are now able to capture fast-moving action sports from never-before-seen viewing angles.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2022.  

This first person view (FPV) tracking video of professional biker Irek Rizaev is absolutely incredible. Drone Video Awards Winner Tomz FPV flew his mini quad behind the BMX biker through the Kazan Kremlin for Red Bull Russia. Red Bull build ramps around the historic center (which was built by Ivan the Terrible and which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site), where we’ll find the talented Irek Rizaev performing trick after impressive trick. This video was nominated for the Extreme Sports Category at the 6th Annual NYCDFF.

Prepare to be blown away by this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of some VERY talented moto-cross stuntriders.  Top FPV pilot Gespar used his FPV mini-quad to film the action at the Mayhem May, 2017 event.  Showing the power of FPV quads to track even the fastest-moving of action sports, he gets up close and personal with these riders as they catch air, flip, and perform other death-defying tricks.  This video was selected as a Finalist at the first Annual Drone Video Awards in the Freestyle FPV category.

Join FPV master airblastr while he races through the woods chasing a professional mountain biker! The lines and cinematic shots he's able to capture are one of a kind, as they were taken at a super-high speed that's only possible with a nimble, yet lightning-fast racing drone. This cruise through the woodland track around the biker will blow your mind (and perhaps push your heart rate up a few clicks as well). This video is a 2nd Annual Drone Video Awards' FPV Freestyle Technical nominee.

Flying a first person view (FPV) drone through a dense forest requires some serious FPV piloting skills.  The same can be said for chasing a fast-moving "subject" like an expert mountain bikers.  How about chasing an expert mountain biker through a dense forest?(!)  It's certainly a challenging objective even for the most skilled FPV pilot, and top AirVuz contributor janxfpvdrone pulls it off brilliantly in this excellent piece.  In recognition of the feat this required, we put this video on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2020.  

Ride along with top first person view (FPV) drone pilot Epicjfpv as he skillfully films two of the top freestyle motocross (FMX) riders around a jump-filled course.  Australian rider Jarryd McNeil has been active on the FMX circuit for over a decade, with three X- Games wins to his name (among other accolades), while American rider Chase Bradshaw is known around the world for his aerial stunts.  The video was filmed with the GoPo Hero 11 Mini action camera at McNeil's famous dirtbike "farm".  

Top first person view (FPV) drone pilots are becoming increasingly creative; the state of the art has gone way past the early days of simply finding a cool spot to fly and film.  Witness this incredible piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot ChaKoFPV, who managed to film a fully-costumed "batman" riding his "batcycle".  Just for extra effect, the shooting/flying takes place in the nighttime, and includes a run through a long tunnel.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2021.  

Talented AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot sojkincz put together this fantastic piece showing the power of FPV drones to capture action-packed mountain bike (MTB) riding.  Filmed on an MTB course, the video includes some incredible slo-mo shots of some VERY talented mountain bike riders getting some serious air time.  The video was filmed as part of a collaboration to produce a short film called Dustination.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2021.  

BMX riders hitting jumps and performing aerial stunts offer great potential for some exhilarating viewing, but capturing the action on video is exceptionally difficult.  Enter, FPV racing drones, which have the speed and maneuverability to keep up with these talented and daring athletes.  To see what we mean, check out this amazing piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot nikofilmz.  He used an FPV racing drone to film some very talented BMXers plying their craft, and the footage beautifully captures their considerable skills.  

Aaron Gwin is a professional downhill mountain biker from Morongo Valley, California, USA. The 31-year-old is a five-time UCI Downhill World Cup Champion and an eight-time USAC Downhill National Champion. Professional pilot and AirVuz FPV Drone Video of the Year Winner JohnnyFPV recently had the chance to work with Gwin as both pros did what they do best - Gwin shredding down the mountain on his bike, JohnnyFPV focusing in and grabbing epic footage of his subject.  This made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May, 2019.

For a first upload to AirVuz, new contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot nicklaroche brings us this fantastic video chasing one of the world's top freestyle motocross (FMX) riders. Brody Wilson is one of the best known riders in FMX, a "branch" of the Motocross world where the focus is on aerial stunts and tricks.  It's an extreme sport which is made for FPV drones; skilled mini quad pilots can get a unique perspective of these talented athletes as they perform mind-blowing aerial stunts like what you'll see in this video.

Top AirVuz contributor ShaggyFPV is one of the world's top first person view (FPV) drone pilots.  When he's not racing for the Drone Racing League, the Dutch drone pilot is invited to travel all over the world seeking epic FPV footage for sponsors.  In this amazing video, you'll see his work at the Audi Nines mountain biking event at Bike Park Idarkopf in the mountains of southwestern Germany.  Filming some of the top MTB riders in the world, ShaggyFPV earned himself another spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2020.  

For some epic first person view (FPV) bike chasing, it's hard to beat this incredible piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot hypercine.  He used an FPV mini-drone to chase top mountain biker Emanuel Pombo on an incredible ride through the cliffs of Santa Cruz, California.  Watch as he performs some death-defying tricks right on the edge of the cliffs, where a false move would likely send him plunging into the Pacific Ocean.  This video earned our contributor a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2020.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot airblastr goes on a mountain biking rip session adventure with his buddy at the Copper City Trails in Three Forks, Montana, USA to put his FPV skills to the test. The vast landscape seems to tempt him away from chasing his MTB pal, but he still manages to keep his flight low and his proximity close.  As you can imagine, tracking a fast-moving MTB with a racing quad involves considerable skill, let alone doing so with sufficient precision to keep the footage enjoyable to view. 

Legendary first person view (FPV) drone pilot ShaggyFPV takes us on the ride of a lifetime in this amazing bike-chasing video from Chile.  The video was filmed at the Red Bull Valparaíso Cerro Abajo event in Valparaíso, Chile's second-largest city.  In the video, he follows (with a single shot) Czech biker Tomáš Slavík (4x winner of the UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships) as he rides down the city's narrow streets towards the sea.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December of 2022.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Epicfpv used a GoPro Hero 11 Mini mounted to an FPV quad to create this incredible video of some very talented freestyle motocross (FMX) riders.  Filmed during Arizona Bike Week 2023, the video captures top riders Dustin Nowak, Chase Bradshaw, Patrick Evans performing some incredible freestyle tricks.  With some magnificent slo-mo shots, this video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the Pilots to Watch list in April of 2023.       

This is one down and dirty video. Literally, everything, including the camera on the drone, is getting blasted with dirt thanks for the biker ripping things up out in the sand and mud. AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Airburner brings us this freestyle FPV motocross tracking video with his DJI FPV setup and GoPro 6. It’s a fun, quick session that definitely gives novice FPV viewers a great look at the extreme action sport, and it earned our contributor a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2019.

For an action-oriented first person view (FPV) piece, check out this awesome video from Indonesia's Mt. Bromo by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot BanzaiFPV.  He was able to film a VERY skilled mountain biker running down the slopes of this still very active volcano, which is part of the Tengger Mountain in the eastern part of the island of Java.  Mt. Bromo has a summit elevation of about 7.6k ft. above sea level or around 2.3k m.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February of 2022.  

Filled with slow-motion shots, inverted flying, quad chasing and more, this dynamic and cinematic FPV flight by Cinematic Flow will leave you feeling inspired. He’ll chase down and capture these mountain bikers as they pop wheelies and risk it all down the treacherous, mountain trail. The 360 perspective adds a little bit of flavor and interest to an already outstanding video. We look forward to seeing more from this talented pilot, who earned himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2019.

The high definition footage, stunning location, and excellent framing make this a BMX by first person view (FPV) video to remember. Brought to us by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot motionpilot, we’ll trail a biker as he takes on some of the most famous mountains in the world, the Swiss Alps. Enjoy the close up, mode setting shots before taking the ride down the mountain.  Well-shot and -edited, this video was an easy choice to place on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in November of 2019.  

Flylifeco has made quite a name for himself in the Colorado FPV crowd. His mountain, bridge, snow-covered peaks and other locations are almost trade secrets at this point due to how much recognition he deservedly gets over his cinematic pieces. This time around he’s following a mountain biker as he shreds down the rocky cliff alongside “oceans of Aspens.” It’s a great tracking piece with plenty of ghost branches to avoid along the way; no surprise, this video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August, 2019.

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) Fincky has taken it up a notch yet again with this mad FPV edit of mountain biking rider Jey Marechal. His proximity work with both the terrain and the biker is some of the best we’ve seen. His FPV navigation skills are clearly on full display as Jey takes the black dirt mountain top at top-speed with Fincky close behind, giving us viewers a cinematic take only action sports FPV can provide.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September, 2020.

The impressive jumps and stunts witnessed in FMX (Freestyle Motocross) make it a fantastic sport for spectators, but we all know the best way to take it in is with a drone like GLDCreative's racing quad. In this killer edit, he chases the ride around X Games medalists Taka Hagashino and Jerryd McNeil.  These are two of the best in the world at their trade, and they participated in the X Games in Minneapolis (also home to AirVuz HQ) in 2019. For all of this and more, GLDCreative was added to our Pilots to Watch list in January, 2020!

You'll want to watch this video by top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Shikijo all the way through to see why we picked it for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2021.  The video follows professional mountain biker Sebastien Baruzzo on a trail through the woods in France.  The riding is impressive, but what will truly amaze you is the footage beginning at around the 1:00 mark.  Here, he adds a miniature "flamethrower" to his bike, which has to be seen to be believed!  

The Drone Video Awards Award-Winning pilot in the FPV Freestyle Technical category, Tomz FPV knows how to throw it down when it comes to ripping through any and all terrain with agility and style. This time around he is shredding down the mountain side with MTB rider Killian Bron and Red Bull France. He’s got his flow through the hillside down so well that he’ll flip it and reverse it through the terrain, getting far too close to the top biker. Make sure you stick around for the fun twist in the final frame. 

Top AirVuz contributor and pilot haussmannvisuals brings us this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video of an epic downhill mountain bike chase.  The the dirt track runs through a forest alongside a river, with many jumps as well as lateral "hazards" like tree branches to keep the bike rider and the talented drone pilot following him on their collective toes.  Well worth a watch, this video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in early May of 2023.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot nik.scherer earned himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December, 2020 with this amazing video featuring a top professional mountain biker.   He filmed MTB pro Niklas Schehl tearing it up on a course near Freiburg im Breisgau, near the edge of the Black Forest in the western German state of Baden-Württemberg.  The video does an excellent job of combining exciting chase footage with some highly cinematic shots of this fabled forest.  

It’s a high-flying, free-wheeling, epic adventure that AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Fornell FPV is taking us on. He’s got those up close and personal shots we’re always looking for when first person view pilots trail motocross athletes. These riders will send it over jump after jump, flipping and whipping their bikes around like they’re light as a feather while Fornell FPV tracks them with his mini quad. This flight earned him an AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch now.

If you've ever witnessed a Nitro Circus event, you know those guys DO NOT hold back, and it turns out, neither does FPV pilot Ruben Caser.  He showed interest in pairing their fearless stunts with his finely tuned flying, and the final product - this video - shows the reward for their collaboration. Watch as BMX daredevils Kurtis Downs, Ryan Williams and Dusty Wygle get chased by those boss freestyle moves, proving that Ruben Caser is a real force in the AirVuz FPV community.

It can sometimes be hard to tell who's having more fun when an FPV pilot like Biceps&Rouflaket chases down subjects like motocross champion Victor Levergne with his racing drone.  Watch the bike cruise around the dirt trail while the drone keeps pace, and then breaks off to make a few tricks of its own.  Of course, the treelined French countryside offers the best trails, and Biceps&Rouflaket knew just how to pull the whole scene together, and for that, we added him to our roster of FPV Pilots to Watch on AirVuz in February 2020.

These guys make poppin’ wheelies look as easy as riding a bike and we’re not talking about the kind of bikes featured in this exciting first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Banner_Drones. The motorcycle riders in this video are stunt artists, not only driving on a solo wheel for long stretches but repositioning their legs and stance as they go. It is pretty intense, made all the more so by the tight tracking Banner_Drones is doing with his mini quad.

Dig that slow-motion, up-close-and-personal style of FPV flying? Pilot prisvanrees will bring it to you in this FPV drone by mountain bike tracking video. He’ll set the scene by showing off the tricked-out Red Bull trucks parked around the event, then get right into the of things, following riders as they take to the dirt mounds and fly high off the course jumps. The slow-motion effect he’ll add in post-production brings the whole flight just one level higher, earning himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2019.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot chrissbergan earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2023 with this marvelous video of some very talented enduro riders tackling the volcanic Mt. Batur on the Indonesian island of Bali.  Still very much active, Batur is located a bit to the northwest of Mt. Agung, in the north-central part of the island.  The volcano has a peak altitude of about 5.6k ft. above sea level (about 1.7k m), a bit over half as tall as Mt. Agung.  

Enduro motorcycles are off-road racing bikes used in “enduros,” long-distance, cross-country, timed trial competitions. They often feature oversized gas tanks, sump protectors, and more durable components than other racing bikes.  In this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video, AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot eVolvE FPV used his mini racing quad to rip up the dirt behind an obviously very talented enduro biker, nearly crashing in to him several times due to his insanely close proximity flying. 

Follow a mountain biker with a first person view (FPV) racing drone in this fantastic piece by new AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Timow.  The video tracks a very skilled rider working the mountainous terrain of the state, which lies in the heart of Central Mexico.  Most of the state is covered by the mountains and plateaus of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, which (as the name suggests) forms an east-west "belt" across the middle of the country.  This video was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in July, 2021.

Check out this very impressive first person view (FPV) video of a champion motocross (MX) rider, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot flumz fpv.  The biker is Pierre Goupillon, who won the 2021 and 2022 French MX championships.  He is shown here riding his KTM 250 cc bike, taking on a course somewhere in Southern France.  This video, which features incredible slo-mo shots of some epic aerial stunts, was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in Februay of 2023.  

Collaborating with a dynamic mountain biker, FPV pilot Upsidedown FPV brings us this epic mini quad video. A German World Cup circuit rider, Jasper Jauch is an impressive athlete. Pilot and rider met at a closed course in Bavaria, Germany to capture this fantastic chase through the woods.  Watch as pilot and biker a like twist, fly and nearly crash down the dominating hillside, all in dynamic, high-definition quality.  This video was selected for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2019.

When Dutch motocross club Bleiswijk invited AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot ShaggyFPV out to track their practice run, he jumped at the opportunity. Using a 5-inch Avantquad Soko frame with the GoPro Hero 6, the DRL pilot got to work cutting edges and drifting so close behind the world-class riders that it looks like there’s an inevitable crash somewhere in this video. There isn’t, it’s silky smooth and steady flying made even smoother in post thanks to the Reelsteady GO software.

It’s amazing how close mini quads can get to motorcycles. The ability to capture all of the heart-pounding, gravity-defying, ridiculously fast action is something we’ve never seen before - at least not with such accuracy and precision. The first person view flying seen in this chase-down video by pilot andresbung is a perfect example. He’s able to avoid the sand being kicked up at his camera’s lens while keeping top speed down the straightaways and leaping high over the jumps behind the bikers. 

Fly right in the face of epic with AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Stephen Peot's cinematic FPV motocross flight! The insane skills of both the freestyle motocross bikers and the FPV pilot come together in perfect synthesis in this killer drone video. The expertly executed stunts plus a few close calls make this an FPV chase that keeps you on the edge of your seat.  It was also enough to put this talented content creator on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in October of 2018.

Europe's Alps Mountains are becoming something of a magnet for extreme mountain biking.  The resort areas which are packed with skiers in the winter months now sport mountain biking courses to draw summer traffic.  AirVuz contributor OllieFPV gives us a first person view (FPV) mini-drone view of this phenomenon in this fantastic piece from the Bike Park of Châtel, near the French/Swiss border.  Featuring some incredible MTB by FPV footage, this video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August, 2020.

Prepare to be amazed by these incredible first person view (FPV) drone shots of a talented freestyle motocross (FMX) rider by content creator and FPV pilot Spoony J.  While these fast-moving mini drones have proven to be perfect platforms for viewing this extreme sport, full-speed footage still fails to capture the athleticism and skill required to perform aerial tricks during their insane jumps; by slowing it all down, you'll appreciate how good these guys are.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2021. 

A bike ramp in the woods forms the perfect backdrop for this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Nick Land.  He used his FPV mini-drone to film to chase a BMX biker flying off the ramp and performing some very impressive mid-air tricks.  It's a great example of the power of FPV mini-drones to capture some of the most difficult-to-film action sports.  It also won this talented FPV pilot a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2020.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot nezartash brings us this excellent video created while chasing a very talented motorcycle stunt rider.  The video was filmed with both a (gimbal-stabilized) DJI Air 2S drone as well as a GoPro Hero 9 action camera attached to a seven inch FPV quad.  The two perspectives make for a highly cinematic viewing experience, with the DJI drone providing "setup" shots of the area filmed.  This video was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in mid-November of 2021.  

Name a better way to watch action sports like motocross than through the lens of a first person view (FPV) mini quad. We’ll wait. They’ll get frighteningly close to his bike and take hit after hit from the dirt he rips up behind his tires. Now that it has been done, it's the only way to watch motocross.

Freestyle motocross - FMX for short - is one of the most demanding two-wheel action sports.  It's all about the stunts and tricks, and filming it from a stationary camera just doesn't do it justice.  Even gimbal-stabilized aerial videography platforms like the DJI Mavic series have serious limitations due to their slower speeds and inability to get close to the subject.  That's where FPV mini-drones come in.  Witness this epic piece by AirVuz contributor VerJan FPV, who filmed a very talented FMX rider performing some mind-blowing tricks.

Top contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot nikofilmz is a master at the difficult art of dynamic FPV - chasing moving "subjects".  It's one of the toughest styles of FPV flight, and it requires a kind of "sixth sense" on the part of the pilot to anticipate where the "target" is moving so as to be able to keep it in frame.  In this excellent piece, he uses a "cinewhoop" style micro-drone to track a very adept BMX rider tackling a challenging course, and with a single shot.  This video was featured on the AirVuz social media pages.  

Follow a very skilled mountain bike rider through the streets of the Mexican town of Taxco in this fantastic first person view (FPV) piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Timow.  Taxco lies deep in the interior of the state of Guerrero, a little over 100 mi. (around 170 km) southwest of Mexico City.  Taxco was once one of the largest sources of silver during the Colonial period.  This video earned our talented content creator a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2021.  

Lee Bowers is one of the world's top motorcycle stunt riders.  He has a Guiness Book of World Records spot to his name, and he's won the UK's freestyle championship on multiple occasions.  What better way to see this very brave and very talented rider than through the perspective of a first person view (FPV) mini-drone?  We can't think of a better way to appreciate the skill that goes into riding a motorcycle backwards doing a handstand.  It's thanks to AirVuz contributor Dirty Dishes FPV, who created this highly entertaining FPV video.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Epicjfpv used the new GoPro Hero 11 Mini action camra to film a very skilled freeride mountain biker tearing it up in southwestern Utah.  Pilot and rider were in the area, which is set in the canyons and deserts near Zion National Park, for the Red Bull Rampage freeriding competition.  The event, which has been held in this location since 2008 and which draws competitors from all of the world, is generally held in October of every year.  

The bikers featured in this first person view (FPV) drone video are lights-out fast! They hit the dirt track at such an incredible pace that they come within inches of flying off around every corner.  It goes without saying that it's not easy to ride like this, nor is it easy to chase these guys with a mini-quad.  AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot sand fpv pulled it off, creating a highly entertaining video; it's a great example of how FPV drones are allowing us to catch some of these high-octane sports from an entirely new perspective.

When you watch this first person view (FPV) video by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot nik.scherer, you'll appreciate why FPV drones are such a perfect match with high performance BMX riding.  He put together some of his best footage from filming German Cross Country team rider Niklas Schehl riding through the Black Forest near the town of Freiburg in southwestern Germany.  This is footage which is literally impossible to capture other than with an FPV mini-drone.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2020.

While the title of this video reflects the fact that he's showing off the skills of mountain miker David Romero, the other clear talent is that of FPV drone pilot Flash FPV.  While Romero pushes along the dirt track, Flash FPV shows his dynamic flying and superb manueverability along the trail, all the while carefully dodging branches.  But the short film got another boost in post-production with some great editing to fit the fun chase.  We're impressed by it all and were thrilled to add Flash FPV to our FPV Pilots to Watch list in February 2020.

Top AirVuz contributor FPVFlow used a first person view (FPV) drone to capture the excitement from well-known biking "Enduro" race in the Italian Alps.  The four-day race was held in August, 2022.  The event, which was open to only 85 qualified riders,  runs along the Varaita Valley in the province of Cuneo, in the southwestern part of the Piedmont region, not far from the French border.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September of 2022.  

See motocross riders from a brand new angle in this stellar drone chase-down by AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot JulienM FPV. He’ll set up the scene with close up shots of the motorcycles, sparkling clean and ready to hit the dirt track. Then, the mini quad pilot will get to work, closely trailing the motocross riders as they navigate the bumpy terrain and cruise down the straightaways. It’s an excellent flight that gives viewers a real taste for what being on one of those bikes would feel like.

Once you've watched motocross via a first person view (FPV) drone, you can't go back to the same old ways of watching the extreme sport. With the frightening proximity we've come to expect from these type of flights, top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot theflyingshoes kicks it up a notch with some fantastic slow-mo and landscape shots that really give you a feel for the location and intensity of the ride.  As you watch, you will appreciate that there's no other way to get this kind of "up close and personal view" of these athletes.   

We can’t get enough of first person view (FPV) mini-quad pilots shooting extreme sports. The proximity, speed, angles and more make it such an upgraded experience compared to watching footage that was taken with regular cameras.  Talented AirVux contributor and FPV pilot CoddyKay is definitely a pilot to watch when it comes to tracking motocross riders.
