Top AirVuz contributor Moadh_Bukhash put together this marvelous 4k DVOW Finalist drone video from the storied province of Phuket in Southern Thailand. Consisting of one main island (Thailand's largest) and nearly three dozen smaller satellites, it's Thailand's smallest province but also one of its most well known.  Having recovered by the devastation suffered by its western coast on the Andaman Sea from the great Tsunami of 2004, Phuket remains one of the world's most sought-after beach destinations.  

Courtesy of this charming footage, we can all join top AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Mikezwijgers on his backpacking trip through Thailand. The combination of aerial and ground videography enables him to release the true cultural energy the country is known to offer. The video opens with some epic shots of Phang Nga Bay, an inlet of the Strait of Malacca which separates the island of Phuket from the Thai mainland. The Islands off the coast of Thailand are offer some of the world's most captivating beach scenery. Fly along with top contributor and drone pilot OnFocus as they show off the gorgeous views of Thailand's coast captured in 4k. The video features footage of three spots: Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Krabi. Koh Tao and Koh Phangan are part of the Cumphon Archipelago in the western part of the Gulf of Thailand. Krabi province lies a bit further to the south, and faces the Andaman Sea. The video was shot with a DJI Phantom 3 Pro.

Watch this drone video by contributor and pilot Tominspires to get a good look at the Thai city of Chiang Mai, the largest in the northern region of the country.  Chiang Mai was founded in the 13th century, and became the principal city of one of the tributary states of the Kingdom of Siam.  Set in the mountains of northern Thailand near the border with Myanmar, the temples and other architecture of the city and the surrounding province are some of the most amazing sights in this Southeast Asian country.

One of the most popular beach destinations in Southern Thailand is Koh Samui.  The country's second largest island, it lies on the opposite (eastern) side of the mainland from its largest island, the somewhat better-known Phuket.  While Koh Samui's interior is jungle, its beaches are some of the finest in Southeast Asia.  Contributor Robin Puskas used a DJI drone to create this mesmerizing aerial view of this bit of paradise in the Gulf of Thailand, which sits on the western side of the Gulf of Thailand.

Railay is one of Thailand's best-known beach areas.  It is situated not far from the southern tip of the country, between the cities of Krabi and Ao Nang.  With stunning views looking out onto Phang Nga Bay, Railay is accessible only by boat due to the high cliffs surrounding the area.  In this video, top contributor Christian Cuvelier flew his DJI Phantom 4 Professional drone over the area at sunset, creating a stunning aerial view of one of the more iconic looking beach spots in all of Southeast Asia.

Top contributor Robin Puskas put together this stunning video from the area around Phang Nga Bay in Southern Thailand.  An inlet of the Andaman Sea, and bounded by the province of Phuket to the west and the Krabi Province to the east, the bay is home to hundreds of small islands.  Most of the bay is now part of Ao Phang Nga National Park.  Phang Nga Bay became an important tourist destination in part due to its appearance as a filming location in the 1974 James Bond film the Man with the Golden Gun.  

The principal city of northern Thailand, situated on the Ping River near the border with Myanmar, is Chiang Mai.  Founded in the 13th century, this jungle city has immense historical and cultural significance to Thailand.  It was capital of the Lan Na Kingdom, one of the principal tributaries of the Kingdom of Siam.  Contributor Tominspires used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create a mesmerizing aerial view of this city, home to some of the most well known (and spectacular) Buddhist Temples in the world.   

Thailand's Koh Phi Phi islands regularly appear atop lists of the best beaches in the world, especially since Koh Phi Phi Lee (the smaller of the two main islands) becoming the shooting location of the movie The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio in 2000.  Distinguished by large limestone rocks. the islands are situated in the Andaman Sea, in the Krabi province.  Contributor Agrippa907th used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to aerially capture these stunning islands as well as Railay Beach, which lies a bit to their north.

To pcontributor BigHeadGreg created this marvelous aerial video from a visit to Thailand.  The video opens with some epic bird's eye views of Bangkok, the country's capital city and one of the largest urban agglomerations in the world.  From there it's on to three spots in the Cumphon Archipelago, a group of islands on the western side of the Gulf of Thailand: Koh Tao, Koh Samui, and the Mu Ko Ang Thong park, which covers all or a portion of a number of islands in the group.  

Check out this beautiful drone video of the Thai island of Koh Samet, compliments of top contributor and pilot DroneHeroes.  Koh Samet is situated in the Gulf of Thailand in the province of Rayong, southeast of Bangkok.  It's the largest of a cluster of islands which have become popular as side trip destinations from the Thai capital city, which is about 220 km (around 140 mi.) away.  Most of Ko Samet as well as the nearby islands have been declared a national park and are subject to federal conservation rules.  

Pattaya is a medium-sized city on the east side of the Gulf of Thailand, not far from the border with Thailand's neighbor Cambodia.  It's the largest city in Chonburi, one of the 76 provinces which make up this Southeast Asian nation.  Nearby Mapracharn Lake has an enormous population of storks.  Contributor Danny Batchelor flew his DJI Phantom 4 drone over this lake, and was able to capture what appear to be thousands of storks flying over the lake.  Shot on a brilliant day, the storks are so numerous as to appear unreal.  

Thailand's Krabi province is perhaps best known for the dozens of small islands which lie off its coast in Phang Nga Bay.  Top contributor Christian Cuvelier used a drone to create this epic continuous "reveal" shot of these beautiful islands.  James Bond fans may recognize this area from The Man with the Golden Gun (1974, #10 in the series) and Tomorrow Never Dies (1997, #20). Phang Nga Bay "stood in" for unnamed "Red Chinese Waters" in the former movie and Vietnam's Ha Long Bay in the latter. 

The title of this video is perhaps a little misleading - it has elephants and Grand Canyon (of Thailand) jumping, but it's not elephants jumping the canyon.  Contributor and drone pilot RoamwithJohn created this marvelous aerial video of the Elephant Care & Grand Canyon destination in the Chiang Mai province of northern Thailand.  It is a protected sancturary where Thailand's endangered elephants (who once numbered over 100k, one of the world's largest populations) can be seen in a natural environment.

What could possibly be better than lounging at the beach in a bikini with a drone in hand? And let's just add that this is in Krabi, Thailand - one of the hottest beach destinations in Southeast Asia, how about now?  Get a sky-high view of the ultimate tropical relaxation destination with contributor wrenees, more familiarly known as the Queen of the Dronie. You’re going to wish you were there too!  Krabi is one of the primary Thailand beach regions; it sits on the eastern side of Phang Nga Bay.

Contributor and pilot Monskie123 used a drone to create this phenomenal aerial tour of the province of Lampang in Northern Thailand.  Lampang is situated to the south of the better known province of Chiang Mai.  While its mountains are not quite as high as those of the province to its north, they are nonetheless spectacular.  Some of the rock formations of their peaks have temples atop them, further enhancing the visual appeal of this province which is still "under the radar" of the world's tourists.

AirVuz contributor and pilot Unraveled Studios created this epic drone video from one of the most scenic spots in Thailand and indeed in all of Southeast Asia.  It's shot at Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand at almost 2.6k meters (8.4k ft.) above sea level.  It's in the country's Chiang Mai province, its northernmost, near the border with Myanmar.  The video beautifully captures the mountain peak at sunset as well as the iconic looking Doi Inthanon temple shimmering in the fading sunlight.  

Wat Tham Sua ("Tiger Cave Temple") is one of two  famous Buddhist temples near Kanchanaburi, in the west-central part of Thailand.  While the temple was only built in the 1970's, it quickly became a popular cultural site.  The temple also benefits from being located near the site of the fabled Bridge Over the River Kwai, another major tourist draw in this part of the country.  Flying Horizons used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to treat us to an aerial view of this not-so-ancient temple in the jungle, in the province of Kanchanaburi.      

Top contributor and pilot Christian Cuvelier created this stunning drone video of some of the islands in Southern Thailand's Phang Nga Bay.  Most of the video was filmed in the area around  Koh Yao Yai, one of the bay's larger islands.  It's located in the southern part of the bay, where it opens up into the Andaman Sea.  It lies about midway between the island of Phuket (to the west) and the mainland around Krabi (to the east).  The video also includes aerial footage of some of the other islands in the bay.
