In this amazing drone video, award-winning contributor  Majestic makes a compelling visual case for Miami having the USA's most impressive skyline.  Shot with a DJI Mavic 2 Pro, the video opens with a stunning shot from over Miami Beach, looking west at the downtown Miami skyline over the Bay of Biscayne.  From there it transitions to some incredible shots of the Brickell Avenue skyscrapers (just south of the core downtown), followed by more aerials of South Beach at the southern end of Miami Beach.

Contributor Tarcy_Vision used a DJI Mavic Air drone to create an unforgettable aerial tour of Southern Florida during Spring Break, a time of year when many of the state's beaches and cities are flooded with college students.  Although somewhat more subdued compared to its heyday in the 1970's (when the city of Fort Lauderdale was virtually synonymous with Spring Break), the Gold Coast region running from Miami to West Palm Beach is still considered one of the prime Spring Break destinations.  

Take an aerial tour of the greater Tampa Bay St. Petersburg area on the Gulf Coast of Florida in this excellent piece by AirVuz contributor Bumble Bee Productions.  The video includes footage from the area's three main cities (Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater) as well as Madeira Beach and Tarpon Springs.  At the :45 mark, there's a nice shot of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge across the mouth of Tampa Bay. The Emerald Coast is northern Florida's answer to the Gold Coast, the legendary stretch of coastline that extends from Miami to Palm Beach. The Emerald Coast runs for about 160 km (about 100 mi.) along the Gulf of Mexico on Florida's Panhandle, from Pensacola in the west to Panama City in the east.  In this drone video by 8 Fifty Productions, you'll get aerial views of the Emerald Coast, with footage of Destin, Sandestin, Miramar Beach, 30A, Panama City, and Seaside & Rosemary Beaches.

Top AirVuz contributor RG Drones put together this DVOW nominated aerial collage of Miami, Florida, one of the USA's most visually impactful cities.  The video opens with shots of Miami Beach, the island community on the east side of the Biscayne Bay which has become one of the world's most glamorous spots.  Here you'll see the cruise ships which dock on Dodge Island and sail past Miami Beach's South Pointe through the Government Cut Channel.  You'll also be treated to some excellent views of Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins.

Top contributor 8 Fifty Productions brings us this rather haunting drone video of a scene which would have been unimaginable even a few weeks earlier: Florida's beaches during Spring Break, and....no people.  As the Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic caught up with the USA with a vengeance in March, 2020, the state of Florida saw its public beaches shut down in a bid to slow the spread of the virus.  The result was eerie scenes like this one from the Panhandle's Gulf Coast, which would ordinarily be packed with thousands of beachgoers.

Take in these stunning drone views of fabled West Palm Beach, Florida, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot David L.  The video opens with a stunning shot of the waterfront of the city, which is located about 70 mi. (around 110 km) north of Miami and was the first incorporated municipality in the state of Florida.  Other featured locations include the Palm Harbor Marina, Flagler Memorial Bridge, Meyer Amphitheater, Clematis Street Dock, Fern Street Dock, South Cove Boardwalk, and Royal Park Bridge.   

LOA used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this short but informative look at Orlando, in Central Florida.  Once a sleepy town, it was chosen by Walt Disney Company to be the home of a new theme park called Disney World in 1971.  The rest, as they say, is history.  The city is the center of a greater Orlando are of over three million souls, it's one of the world's top tourist destinations and a Tier 1 convention center, and in 2018 Orlando International Airport was the eleventh busiest in the country.

Florida's Keys are a group of islands which extend in an arc beginning just south of Miami and extending to the southwest.   This video will give you an aerial tour of Florida's Keys, compliments of contributor and drone pilot Nonexistent Jay.  It includes footage from Seven Mile Bridge and Key West, both of which were filming scenes for the 1989 James Bond film Licence to Kill (1989), #18 in the series.  The Keys were also used as a filming location for the next Bond film, GoldenEye (1995).

Many people would be astonished to know that the most populous city in the state of Florida is not Miami, Tampa, or Orlando but rather Jacksonville.  Due to a quirk of urban planning, the city of Jacksonville, the metropolitan area of Greater Jacksonville, and Duval County are very nearly one and the same.  In this drone video by Alvin Nyemah, you'll get a bird's eye view of the city on the banks of the St. Johns River in the northeastern part of the state, the largest city in the USA by land area.  

Drone video footage is becoming a must-have tool for marketing residential properties which have boat access.  The bird's eye footage afforded by drones are by far the best way to show use of the property for marine recreation.  Contributor 8 Fifty Productions created this beautiful promotional video of a harborside apartment complex in Destin, Florida, providing an aerial view of the boating lifestyle awaiting the new owner.  Destin lies on the western side of the Florida panhandle, on what's known as the Emerald Coast.  

 Award-winning contributor and pilot Majestic used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone to create one of the most epic aerial tours of Miami, the great city on Florida's Gold Coast.  He captured some stunning day and night shots of the skyline along Brickell Avenue, the towers of South Beach, and a massive powerboat cruising the waters of Biscayne Bay.  He then stitched it together with some highly creative editing and timelapses to create a memorable portrait of what may be the USA's most photogenic city.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Dave MG brings us this excellent drone video from the coast of northeastern Florida.  The video opens with shots of Jacksonville Beach, a beach community which lies just a few mi./km southeast of the city of Jacksonville.  Then you'll head to the city of Jacksonville itself, the largest city in Florida by population and the largest city in the USA by land area.  The last stop is St. Augustine; less than an hour's drive south of Jacksonville, this is the oldest European-settled city in the USA.  

The interior of Florida was once almost entirely covered in wetlands and marshes.  In fact, much of the interior of the southern part of the state was uninhabitable until relatively recently due to the problems of mosquito-borne infections.  Effective insect control and air conditioning solved one problem but created another - the wetlands have shrunk alarmingly due to population pressure.  In this video, PeterBloch gives us an aerial view of some salt marshlands near Tampa, in the west-central part of the Sunshine State.  

Florida's Everglades is one of the world's most well known wetlands.  As the Everglades came under pressure from the explosive growth of the Florida population, it became one of the first areas which became the subject of intense concern from the emerging worldwide environmental movement.  Contributor Tapp Channel used a DJI Phantom drone combined with ground footage to give us this look at an important and endangered resource, which covers almost 1.5 million acres in the south-central part of the state.

Check out these beautiful drone views of Sarasota, Florida, compliments of contributor Lone Star Drones.  It's located at the southern end of its namesake bay, just south of the much larger Tampa Bay on the state's western (Gulf of Mexico) side.  Sarasota and its "twin" city of Bradenton are now considered the southern outskirts of the Tampa-St. Petersburg Metropolitan Area.  Once closely identified with the Ringling Brothers Circus, Sarasota has emerged as one of the Sunshine State's fastest-growing retiree destinations.  

Sitting just across the Intracoastal Waterway from the larger city of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Florida is one of the wealthiest cities in the United States.  The oldest and most fashionable hotel in Palm Beach is the Breakers, a 538 room lodging built by oil and railroad tycoon (and John D. Rockefeller Standard Oil partner) Henry Flagler in 1896.  Top contributor Queen of the Drone treats us to a spectacular aerial tour of this magnificent hotel on one of America's most exclusive beaches.

Check out these stunning drone views of the South Pointe area of Miami Beach, Florida, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and pilot FrameworkFilms.  Also known as South Pointe Park, it's part of South Beach, the southernmost neighborhood of Miami Beach.  Miami Beach is a suburb of Miami which lies on an island across Biscayne Bay from the mainland.  The park lies on the Government Cut, a channel which connects the Bay of Biscayne to the Atlantic Ocean and which is known for the heavy cruise ship traffic which passes through it.  

AirVuz contributor Santiago used a DJI Mavic Mini drone to bring us this aerial video of Florida's Captiva and Sanibel Islands.  Both lie off the coast of Fort Myers in the Gulf of Mexico, in the southwestern part of the state.  Sanibel, the larger of the two, has been connected to the mainland by the Sanibel Causeway since 1963.  With strict limits on development, roughly half of Sanibel's land area is covered by wildlife refuges.  Captiva is a barrier island which lies immediately to the north of Sanibel.  

Naples, Florida is the southernmost city on the state's Gulf Coast.  While not a large city, it is known for having a large concentration of wealth from retirees and vacation homeowners in the city.  Once not much more than a small fishing village, in recent years the city's metropolitan area has grown such that it almost joins the larger Fort Myers area to its north in one continuous region.  Contributor Drone_America created this epic drone video of the sights of Naples in the hot Florida summers. 

Check out this amazing drone video of Florida's Jupiter Island, compliments of AirVuz contributor Azunik Films.  A barrier island which is separated from the mainland by Hobe Sound, Jupiter is part of the Port St. Lucie metropolitan area.  With a population of less than a thousand, Jupiter is one of the wealthiest communities in the USA.  Its current and former residents include the late President George H. W. Bush, tennis star Venus Williams, golfers Tiger Woods and Greg Norman, and many other notables.  

Check out this first person view (FPV) drone video from the longest river in Florida, compliments of Giant FPV.  It's the St. Johns River, and it runs a course of about 500 km (around 300 mi.), rising in a system of marshes near Vero Beach and flowing northwards to discharge into the Atlantic Ocean at Jacksonville.  It's Florida's main commercial and recreational waterway, and is also of vital importance to the state's eco-system.  With a drop of only 10 meters (about 30 ft.), it's what's known as a "lazy river".

Planet Phantom created this aerial view of Disney Springs, an entertainment complex outside of the Walt Disney World Theme Park near Orlando, Florida.  Disney Springs has been through several iterations, most recently as the Downtown Disney.  Since the beginning, the idea has been to provide grown-up entertainment for visitors who may be spending most of their waking hours with their children in the nearby parks.  The complex was recently renovated, in the process of which it took its current name.

Former Drone Video of the Week winner msember brings us this fantastic drone video from the beaches of Delray Beach, Florida, about 80 km (around 50 mi.) north of Miami.  The video was filmed during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Spring of 2020.  While Florida initially resisted calls for closing its beaches, images and videos of spring break revelers crowding some of the most popular beaches on Florida's Gold Coast led to statewide beach closures as state and local authorities scrambled to contain the deadly virus.  

Exploria Stadium of Orlando, Florida is one of the USA's premier venues dedicated to soccer.  Completed in 2017 at a reported cost of about $155 million, the stadium is the home field of the Orlando City SC Major League Soccer franchise as well as its National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) affiliate the Orlando Pride.  Originally known as Orlando City Stadium, the venue has seating capacity for 25.5k fans.  In addition to regular-season games, the stadium has hosted numerous high-profile matches and tournaments.  

St.Petersburg is the "second city" of the Tampa-St. Petersburg Metropolitan Area; it's situated on the western side of Tampa Bay, opposite the city of Tampa.  Named after the great Russian city, St. Petersburg was founded somewhat later than Tampa, in 1903.  It developed as a separate city until the construction of some very long bridges later in the 20th century connected it directly to Tampa.  In this drone video by mjarti86, you'll get a bird's eye view of Florida's fifth-most populous city as of 2019.  

The beach towns of Florida's Panhandle (in the northwestern part of the state, along the Gulf of Mexico) are home to some of the most active recreational boating scenes in the USA.  Witness this incredible drone video from Crab Island by top AirVuz contributor 8 Fifty Productions.  Shot on a busy Memorial Day weekend in 2023, you'll see why this small island near the town of Destin has become one of the USA's great boat hangouts.   The video includes some spectacular timelapse shots of this epic aquatic recreation scene.  

8 Fifty Productions created this beautiful drone video of Seaside, a quiet planned beach community on Florida's panhandle.  Situated in Walton County between the much better known Panama Beach City and Destin, it shares the very high ratio of boats to humans which is common in this part of the world.  Famously, Seaside was the primary filming location for The Truman Show, the 1998 sci-fi parody movie starring Jim Carey which was one of the most financially successful movies of the 1990's. 

AirVuz contributor ContemprAd brings us this excellent drone video of Daytona Beach, Florida.  Located about an hour's drive northeast of Orlando, Daytona's beach is known for its hard-packed sand, which can accommodate motor vehicles.  The Daytona Beach and Road Course, which ran along the beach here from the 1920's through the 1950's, played an important role in the formation of the NASCAR racing circuit.  In 1959, professional racing moved to the Daytona International Speedway, which became home of the Daytona 500 race.   

Top AirVuz contributor David L brings us this excellent drone video from the Jupiter Inlet area on Florida's Gold Coast.  Situated just south of its namesake island (one of Florida's barrier islands), Jupiter Inlet is the waterway which connects the Indian River to the Atlantic Ocean.  The video includes footage of Jupiter Inlet Colony, the town at the southern tip of Jupiter Island, as well as Dubois Park, which lies on the south side of the inlet.  The area is located a bit north of West Palm Beach.  

Here's a great drone view of a famous Florida lighthouse, compliments of brand-new AirVuz contributor and pilot tridiver.  It's called St. Augustine Light, and it's located at the north end of the barrier island Anastasia, just to the southeast of the lighthouse's namesake city.  First lit in 1874, it's the last in a series of lighthouses on the site, which sits at an important spot relative to ship traffic in and out of Florida's oldest city.  Still operating, it's now part of the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum

Take a mini aerial tour of Florida State University in this excellent drone video by new contributor Rjay2.  FSU is located in the state capital city of Tallahassee, on the "Panhandle".  Founded in 1851, it's Florida's oldest institute of higher learning.  Its enrollment of slightly over 40k students is roughly 80% undergraduate, with the balance spread over numerous graduate and professional school programs.  The university's Seminole athletic program is a perennial powerhouse in the NCAA Division I Atlantic Athletic Conference.  

Check out this excellent drone video of Florida's Singer Island, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot David L.  Most of the island (which is technically a peninsula) is part of the town of Riviera Beach, while its southern tip (just above the Palm Beach Inlet, which connects the Lake Worth Lagoon with the Atlantic Ocean) is part of the town of Palm Beach Shores.  It's located in Palm Beach County, towards the northern end of the long stretch of Southern Florida Atlantic coastline known as the Gold Coast.  

Take in these drone videos of Siesta Key Beach, one of the most well-known beach areas on Florida's western (Gulf of Mexico) coast.  The beach is located on the western side of Siesta Key, a barrier island which lies just offshore from the town of Sarasota, about an hour's drive south of Tampa.  In 2020, TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice™ awards named it the #11 beach in the world.  The beach was the inspiration and filming location for the reality TV show series Siesta Key Beach, which premiered on MTV in 2017.  

Check out this excellent drone video from Florida's Palm Beach County, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot David L.  The video was shot near the Boynton Beach Oceanfront Park in the city of Boynton Beach.  The park lies on the barrier island which forms the eastern side of Palm Beach Country's Intracoastal Waterway, otherwise known as the ICW.  The town is roughly halfway between West Palm Beach (to the north) and Boca Raton (to the south), about 60 mi. (around 100 km) north of downtown Miami.  

Talented content creator and drone pilot David L brings us this excellent drone video from Boca Raton, Florida.   The area filmed in the video is the Boca Raton Inlet, which runs between two of the outlying barrier islands and connects the Intercoastal Waterway with the Atlantic Ocean.  Part of the Greater Miami metropolitan area (aka the Gold Coast), Boca Raton is situated in the southern part of Palm Beach County, roughly halfway between central Miami (to the south) and West Palm Beach (to the north).  

In this piece by 8 Fifty Productions, you will see an epic boating scene on Florida's Emerald Coast.  The video features footage of literally thousands of boats floating around Crab Island off the coast of Destin during the 2019 4th of July festivities. The 4th of July or, Independence Day, is a holiday in the USA that commemorates the Declaration of Independence. This top-down view of some Floridians' celebration shows just one way Americans choose to celebrate their independence.

Take a ride over the Florida Keys in this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor ablazquezinesta.  Shot with a DJI Mavic Air, the video will take you over this long chain of islands which extends in a southwestern arc from the southernmost point of mainland Florida.  The video opens with some shots of Cape Florida Lighthouse, the Keys' starting point.  From there you'll follow the islands westwards, with glimpses of Seven Mile Bridge (which connects the Lower Keys with the Middle Keys), all the way out to Key West.

Lake Buena Vista in Central Florida is,, without doubt, the best known city in the United States with 10 residents as of the 2010 census.  The reason is that it lies next to the Disney World amusement park, which is located in adjacent Bay Lake but which has a Lake Buena Vista mailing address.  Top contributor Aerialfilmsmia put together this outstanding drone video of this bit of suburban Orlando which lies next to one of the world's biggest tourist attractions.  

Take in these excellent aerial views of Florida's Lake Worth Beach, compliments of contributor David L.  Lake Worth Beach is located in Palm Beach County, a bit over an hour's drive north of downtown Miami.  It takes its name from the adjoining Lake Worth Lagoon, which (as its name suggests) is technically not a lake but rather a lagoon, with a direct connection to the Atlantic Ocean.  The video includes footage from over Lake Worth Park, which is located on the barrier island and has waterfront on the lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean side.

Here's a nice aerial view of Florida's Pensacola Beach, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Shuttering Thru Life.  Pensacola Beach is located on a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico, just south of the city of Pensacola, at the western end of the Florida Pandhandle.   The video was filmed with an Autel Evo Lite drone.  Just past the 3:30 mark, there's a nice shot of the causeway of County Road 399 which connects the barrier island to the Florida mainland over the English Navy Cove.  

Top contributor Bumble Bee Productions brings us this haunting drone video of Ft. Myers, Florida, eight months following the devastation of the city by Hurricane Ian in September of 2022.  The massive storm, which had barely "weakened" to a Category 4 hurricane shortly before making landfall on one of the city's Gulf of Mexico barrier islands, was one history's costliest weather disasters and the deadliest to hit Florida in over 75 years; of the 150 confirmed Florida fatalities, the majority occurred in the area around Fort Myers.  

Top contributor David L brings us this excellent drone video from Boca Raton, Florida, a beach community on the storied Gold Coast.  Boca Raton is located in Palm Beach County, roughly 45 mi. (around 70 km) north of Miami and about 25 mi. (roughly 40 km) south of West Palm Beach.  Most of the video was shot on the portion of the city lying on the Deerfield Beach Island, one of the barrier islands that lines much of the coast of Southern Florida. You'll also see the Boca Raton Inlet, which connects Lake Boca Raton with the Atlantic Ocean  

Top AirVuz contributor 8 Fifty Productions brings us this excellent drone video of Grayton Beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida.  Grayton Beach is located roughly halfway between the Panhandle towns of Destin and Panama City, on the southern (Gulf-facing) side of the peninsula which forms the southern side of Choctawhatchee Bay.  The village sits along a roughly 20 mi. (around 35 km) stretch of beaches which are interspersed with dune lakes.  Much of the area around the village not on the waterfront is part of Grayton Beach State Park.  

AirVuz contributor AerialWings brings us this excellent drone video of Lido Key, an island of the Gulf of Mexico in Sarasota, Florida.  Lido Key is one of a series of barrier islands which run along Florida's western coast in a nearly uninterrupted chain running from the southern entrance of Tampa Bay to the north all the way to Fort Myers in the south.  A popular beach destination, the island is connected to the mainland via the John Ringling Causeway, named after Sarasota resident and Ringling Brothers Circus founder John Ringling.  

Contributor o_a_photography created this mesmerizing aerial look at the dynamic urban agglomeration variously known as South Florida, So Flo, the Gold Coast, or Miami-Fort Lauderdale.  The video starts on the Fort Lauderdale (northern) end of the area, which features both a long beachfront and a downtown area slightly inland.  Then it moves south to Miami, where you'll see some epic shots of the Miami skyline, the gleaming white towers of Miami Beach, and the boating scene on Biscayne Bay.

Take an aerial tour of Naples, Florida in this excellent done video by AirVuz contributor and drone pilot AerialWings.  The southernmost city on Florida's western (Gulf of Mexico) coastline, Naples has a population of about 20k but is the center of a metropolitan area of over 300k.  One of the wealthiest communities in the United States, Naples is home to dozens of waterfront homes valued in the tens of millions of dollars each.  With about 90 golf courses in Greater Naples, it's also known as the Golf Capital of the World.  

Only in America.  Top AirVuz contributor and pilot Queen of the Drone brings us this fantastic drone footage of a boat parade in support of US President Donald Trump on the eve of the 2020 Presidential election.  The video was shot over the waters of the Gulf of Mexico near Fort Myers, the main city of southwestern Florida.  As has been the case in most of the Presidential elections going back to 2000, the Sunshine State and its 29 electoral votes (as of 2020) is one of the keys to winning the nation's highest office.  

Check out this drone video of a famous Florida lighthouse, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Abdiel8030.  Sanibel Island Light is located at the tip of its namesake island, near the city of Fort Myers on Florida's Gulf of Mexico coastline.  The tower stands about 98 ft. tall or around 30 m.  First lit in 1884 (over 50 years after first being requested by island residents), it's been automated since 1949.  Sanibel Island Light was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.  

The coastal (southern) side of the Florida Panhandle along the Gulf of Mexico is sometimes known as the Emerald Coast.  While it has historically lagged behind the Miami and Fort Myers/Naples areas as a beach destination, it has made great strides in recent years.  Contributor 8 Fifty Productions created this video in which he treats us to epic aerial views of Rosemary Beach, Watercolor, Grayton Beach, Sandestin, and Destin, and more.  These are currently some of the fastest-growing communities in Florida.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor FaceGator FPV brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone reel from Southern Florida.  The reel features a series of breathtaking action shots, ranging from a giant pool party to a helicopter pulling a kiteboarder to some epic boating a drift car shots, all testament to SoFlo's increasingly credible claim to be the USA's recreational capital.  Interspersed are some great shots of a Jewish wedding, some epic FPV skyscraper drives, and more in this FPV Pilots to Watch pick.  

Check out a pair of spots along the southwestern coast of Florida in this excellent video by top AirVuz contributor Bumble Bee Productions.  The first spot is Lovers Key, which is a barrier island in the city of Bonita Springs, between Naples and Fort Myers.  Midway through the video, you'll head down the Gulf Coast a bit to the historic pier in Naples.  The pier was heavily damaged when Hurricane Ian hit Florida's western coast in 2022; it's currently partially closed pending re-construction.  

AirVuz contributor Abdiel8030 brings us this haunting drone video from Fort Myers Beach, Florida about a month after this beach community along with much of Florida's Gulf Coast was ravaged by Hurricane Ian late September of 2022.  The Category 4 storm slammed into the coast on September 28, just north of Fort Myers and a bit south of the original expected landfall.  With 120 mph winds, the storm caused nearly 150 fatalities in Florida alone, in addition to thousands of injuries and estimated property damage of at least $50 billion.  

Check out this excellent drone video of Doak Campbell Stadium, the home of the Florida State University Seminoles, by top contributor Bumble Bee Productions.  It's based on the school's campus in the state capital, Tallahassee. Opened in 1950, for nearly seven decades it's been the home field for one of the most storied college football programs in history.  The stadium, which seats just over 80k fans, is known as the largest continuous brick structure in the USA.  It's now technically called Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.
