Every week, our team reviews every video uploaded to the site to pick the Top 5 videos. Then, we name our favorite as our Drone Video of the Week and send that drone pilot $ 250. To see why the Indian Ocean archipelago known as the Maldives has become one of the world's most desirable tropical travel locations, check out this amazing video by talented contributor AlgernonX.  Created with both drone and ground camera footage, the video was filmed on the island of Thinadhoo, which is one of the five main islands of the Vaavu Atoll.  With a full-time population of less than 2k, the Vaavu Atoll is one of the smallest groupings of the Maldives, which consist of about two dozen atolls spread out over a vast area.  

Kino.team is one of the most well-known commercial drone piloting companies in Russia, and is regularly hired to film scenes for movies, TV shows, and commercials.  In this 2021 drone reel, you will be able to see some of the best shots from the year.  Opening with some beautiful landscape shots of the forests of Northwestern Russia, the video transitions to some spectacular first person view (FPV) drone shots.  Starting at about the :25 mark, you'll see some breathtaking shots from St. Petersburg, including an FPV dive of Lakhta Center.  

Prepare to be blown away by this stunning drone reel by multiple Drone Video of the Week/Month Winner DroneProduction.ru.  The video, which includes some amazing first person view (FPV) drone shots, was shot primarily in Russia, with additional scenes from Iceland.    It features an amazing mix of landscape, cityscape, and movie-quality action shots.  Some of the recognizable locations include the fabled black sand beaches of Iceland, the peaks of the Caucasus Mountains in the southern part of Russian, Lake Baikal in Siberia, and more.  

Explore the giant Italian island of Sicily in this fantastic drone video by AiVuz contributor SailOurWorld.    The video opens with an amazing shot of the ancient hilltop city of Ragusa Ibla, in the interior of southeastern Sicily.  Then it's on to the ancient Greek Temple of Concordia in the Valley of the Temples roughly halfway down the island's southwestern coastline.  Other featured locations include the Duomo of St. George in Ragusa at the :12 mark, the fortress of Maniace in Syracuse (:24), and more.  

Explore Thailand by first person view (FPV) drone in this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor and pilot Wisso FPV, which was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in April of 2022.  The video features footage from the great metropolis of Bangkok; the great cultural center of Ayutthaya, about an hour's drive north of Bangkok; Maya Bay, the cove made famous as a filming location for the movie "The Beach"; and the Phi Phi Islands, in the Malacca Strait just to the southeast of Phuket.
