2022: Drone Video of the Week - Episode 49

For a first upload to AirVuz, new contributor gianluigipalomba brings us this excellent drone video from Iceland.  Shot over the course of a van camper trip around this North Atlantic island, it opens with some epic shots over the Highlands, the mountainous area which dominates the interior of the island.  At the :30 mark, you'll see the near-perfectly symmetrical hill known as Kirkjufell.  Other recognizable locations include the Skogafoss waterfall (:36), the famous DC-3 wreck (:45), the Jökulsárlón iceberg lagoon (1:30), and more.  

AirVuz contributor mitevisuals put together this fantastic drone travel reel, documenting his travels across Europe during 2022 following the easing of COVID-related travel restrictions.  The video features footage from seven countries: Portugal, Ireland, Slovenia, Germany, Norway, Spain, Italy, and Iceland.  Some of the recognizable spots in the video include the Wild Atlantic Way in western Ireland, the iconic island church on Lake Bled in Slovenia, Iceland's famous Kirkjufell mountain and Skogafoss waterfall, and more.   

Top AirVuz contributor Kpax brings us the second part of a series of drone videos from the Masino Valley in northern Italy.  The valley is located in the Italian Alps in the region of Lombardy, roughly an hour's drive north of the city of Milan.  This video was filmed over the valley created by the mountain known as Pizzo Porcelizzo in Sondrio, the northernmost of the Lombardy provinces.  You'll see some nice shots of the Gianetti Hut (Rifugio Gianetti), which sits at an altitude of about 8.3k ft. above sea level (a bit over 2.5k m).  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor MarcelRotzoll brings us this stunning drone video from the Portuguese island of Madeira.  Shot with a DJI Mini 2, the video opens with a great shot of a small coastal village, followed by a shot of the Ponta de São Lourenço, the island's easternmost point.  Further on, you'll fly over the mountainous interior of the island, which lies off the course of North Africa and which became Portugal's first territory when that country embarked on its Age of Exploration in the 15th century.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week/Month Winner By_ewold brings us this magnificent aerial tour of Montenegro, a tiny country in Southeast Europe.  The video opens with a shot of a giant yacht plying the waters of Montenegro's Adriatic Sea coastline, followed by a view of two tiny islets (Our Lady of the Rocks and Sveti Đorđe) near Perast in Kotor Bay.  Next you'll head into the Durmitor Mountains, which cover much of Montenegro's interior.  Other featured locations include Tara Canyon and the tiny island of Sveti Stefan in Budva.
