The Indian Ocean is the third largest ocean in the world, covering an area roughly 9x the area of the continental United States. The islands that dot the Indian Ocean are primarily independent countries such as the Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka, while some such as Reunion Island are territories of other countries. This collection spans the islands of this magnificent body of water, and includes spectacular aerial views of secluded sandbars, enchantingly blue sea waters, and dreams of the good life. Aerial photo: Reunion Island by AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Giltex974.
