Top contributor Thibault_L brings us this magnificent travel video from the Philippines.  With aerial footage from a DJI Mini 4 Pro drone supplemented with ground camera footage, the video was filmed in numerous spots throughout the archipelago, including Coron, a small island in the western province of Palawan; Bohol, one of the main islands in the central Philippines; Banaue, on the island of Luzon; Siargo, a small island just north of the giant (southern) island of Mindanao; and Siquijor, another island in the central Philippines.

You would think it would be near impossible to capture all that the Philippines has in just 65 seconds, but Drone Heroes does a fabulous job doing just that. This video is jam packed with shots that showcase what Filipinos would call “ganda ng kalikasan,” which translates roughly to “beauty of nature” in English.  Drone Heroes is one of the top drone-related accounts on Instagram; he was one of the first drone pilots to achieve 100k+ social media followers.  Watch this video and you'll see why! 

Top contributor hamzamuj created this magnificent 4k aerial tour of the Philippines which was a DVOW finalist in July 2019. The video features footage from the western region of Palawan as well as the island of Cebu in the Central Visayan Islands.  Specific locations featured include: Kawasan Falls on Cebu; Puerto Princesa, the capital of the Palawan province; El Nido, the famous beach area in the northern part of Palawan; and Osmeña Peak, one of the highest mountain peaks on Cebu and the most easily accessible.

The Philippines is divided into three broad regions, corresponding to north, central, and southern island groupings.  The middle portion is called the Visayan Islands, which consists of a half-dozen major islands and hundreds of smaller ones.  It's named after the Visayan ethnicity predominant in the region, which also includes peoples native to parts of the neighboring Luzon and Mindanao regions.  In this fantastic drone video by contributor christer_insulat, you'll get an aerial tour of this fascinating tropical paradise.  

In this video, contributor Marc Piramide takes us on an aerial tour of the three islands which comprise the heart of the Philippines' Central Visayan Islands (also known as the Central Philippines) - Cebu, Bohol, and Leyte.  The opening shot is of Cebu City, the largest urban area in the region and the second-largest city in the country.  The remainder of the video focuses on the natural sights for which the region is famous - endless white sand beaches, tiny island sand bars, mangrove swamps, and shimmering, crystal blue waters.  

The Batanes province of the Philippines is the northernmost in this giant Southeast Asian archipelago.  The province consists of a group of islands roughly between the northern "mainland" of Luzon and the island nation of Taiwan to the north.  Seen here in this DVOM Finalist drone video by jj_maghirang, the Batanes were populated by a distinctive ethnic group which migrated here over 4,000 years ago, and didn't come under control of the Spanish until the late 18th century - much later than the rest of the Philippines.

Ride along with former Drone Video of the Week Winner davetke2002 on a journey to Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines, the site of a historic volcanic eruption in 1991.  Part of the Zambales Mountains, the stratovolcano is located in the central part of Luzon, the most populous island of the archipelago.  While there was sufficient warning to evacuate nearly all of the nearby population, the eruption pushed over 30 billion tons of dust and sulphur dioxide into the atmosphere, disrupting the global climate for at least two years thereafter.  

Lying between the Sulu Sea and South China Sea, the Province of Palawan is an archipelago in the Philippines. It's believed that humans have lived in Palawan for more the 50,000 years and ancient relics have been found in the area that are approximately 5,000 years old. With so much history, it’s easy to see why people might want to travel there. If you spend 60 seconds watching this drone video of Manila, Philippines by Erin Rushton Media, you'll get a great sense for the look of the city.  The country's capital city, which lies on Manila Bay in central Luzon, is one of the world's largest cities.  While the city itself is "only" 2 million, it's the center of a metropolitan area of over 20 million.  Most of the video is shot around the core downtown area, which has been front and center in Southeast Asia's ongoing skyscraper building boom.

In this video, contributor and drone pilot Marc Piramide takes us on an aerial tour of the second largest city in the Philippines.  Cebu City, on the island of Cebu, is the center of a metropolitan area of about 3 million as of 2018, making it the second largest urban area in the Philippines.  It is the dominant city of the Visayan Islands, as the central part of the country known.  Known as the oldest city in the Philippines, the port of Cebu City is one of the country's most important, particularly for domestic trade. 

Part of the Ring of Fire, Kanlaon is one of the most active volcano in the Philippines. With an altitude of almost 2.5k meters (just under 8.1k ft.), it's the highest peak on Negros and indeed in the entire Vasayan Islands region.  From the waterfalls at the base, to the Margaja Valley caldera and rocky Lugud crater, the Canlaon volcano brings new meaning to the saying, "beautiful but deadly."  Contributor NAVA flew over the top of this marvel, creating one of the most-viewed drone videos on AirVuz.  

While the Philippines island Luzon is the country's most heavily populated, the vast majority of the island's population lives in the central part of the highland.  In contrast, the mountainous northern part of the island, which is home to some of its most spectacular natural scenery, is sparsely populated.  In this video by top contributor Jack Shirley, you'll get an aerial tour of the region, including some awesome bird's eye views of Sagada, Banaue, Buscalan, Tinglayan, Bugnay, and more.

Check out this fantastic drone video of an almost-unkown island in the Philippines.  Tenusa Island is part of the Sulu Archipelago, a group of islands lying to the west of Mindanao, the main island of the southern Philippines.  Tenusa (Bihintinusa) is a tiny island lying off of the southern coast of Basilan, the largest of the Sulu mini-archipelago.  Barely visible on a map, and with no permanent residents, Tenusa sparkles in the Sulu Sea.  The video was created by contributor and drone pilot Ian Gongona. 

Take a tour of the Philippines island of Cebu, compliments of contributor Marc Piramide.  The province of Cebu consists of the main island plus over 150 surrounding islands.  It's the most populous province of the Central Visayan Islands, one of the main regions of the country, which includes most of the central part of the country.  The video, which features footage from the length of the island, was created in collaboration with Mactan Cebu International Airport and the Department of Tourism.

In this video, contributor Mr. Gavintech takes us on an aerial tour of Negros and its surrounding islands in the central part of the Philippines.  His video features aerial footage of most of the natural scenery which makes Negros one of the top tourist destinations in the entire Philippines archipelago.  Prepare to be amazed by the bird's eye views of the Manjuyod sandbar, the Canlaon volcano (the highest peak in the entire Visayan Islands region), Apo Island, Dumaguete, and more.

Top contributor Bachir_Photo_Phactory put together this marvelous 60 second DVOW Finalist travel reel from the Philippines. The focus of the video is the legendary beach area known as El Nido. El Nido is actually a municipality which covers the northern tip of Palawan, the westernmost of the main islands of the Philippines. With its towering coastal cliffs and rock formations forming numerous semi-secluded beaches, El Nido frequently appears near the top of authoritative rankings of the world's top beach destinations. 

Bohol is a medium-sized island in the south-central portion of the Philippines, sitting between the somewhat larger islands of Cebu to its west and Leyte to its east.  With its distinctive Chocolate Mountains and other natural wonders, Bohol has caught the attention of drone pilots such as contributor Jermeister Deap.  He created this beautiful aerial video of the island, the 10th largest amongst the thousands that make up the archipelago, and one of the largest of the Visayan Islands of the central Philippines.

The island of Coron in the Philippines has become one of the world's hottest beach destinations.  Located off the northern tip of the larger island of Palawan, one of the attractions of Coron is its line of lakes which extend from the middle of the island northward.  In this drone video by pnoymavic30, you'll get a bird's eye view of Kayangan Lake.  With its spectacular crystal waters, it's the northernmost lake of the group, lying just a few km/mi inland from the island's northern coastline. This video was a DVOW nominee in August, 2019. 

After Sirgao, the most well known of the smaller islands of the Philippines Mindanao region is probably Camiguin.  Covering a modest land area of about 240 square km (about 90 square mi), Camiguin is situated in the Bohol Sea, a body of water which lies off the northwestern part of the main island of Mindanao.  As you will see in this drone video by Deka0831, Camiguin represents a stunning little bit of paradise, with a hilly interior surrounded by appealing white sandbars and sparkling blue seas.

To get a sense of what the Philippines' third-largest city looks like from the air, check out this drone video by contributor and pilot Nehvolution.  He flies over Davao, the largest city in the southern region of the country.  It sits in the southeastern part of the island of Mindanao (the main island of the region), on the Gulf of Davao.  The video will take you through the center of the city and its suburbs; together they make up the Davao metropolitan area, which is the third-largest in the Philippines.  

Contributor Dronesantana007 created this stunning aerial video of two of the most well known beach spots on the legendary Palawan Island in the western Philippines.  El Nido is an area in northern Palawan; it's on a peninsula which sticks out due north from the main island's northern tip.  El Nido is home to most the Palawan's most famous beach areas.  The second location, Puerto Princesa, is located a ways to the southwest, nearer the center of the island.  It's the capital of the province of Palawan.

Check out this beautiful drone video from an island in the southern Philippines, compliments of shoot2thrill.  It's called the Island Garden City of Samal, often shortened to simply Samal. It's actually two islands in the Gulf of Davao, a gulf which sits in the southeastern part of the island of Mindanao.  The two islands - Samal and the smaller Talikud - are situated near the north end of the gulf, just a few hundred yards/km from Davao City, the provincial capital and the third-largest city in the country.  

Top contributor Inigui created this magnificent aerial look at what may be the most beautiful beach in the Philippines.  Corong-Corong Beach is in the municipality of El Nido, which occupies the northern tip of Palawan Island.  It sits on Bacuit Bay, just to the south of the area's more well known beaches on El Nido Bay.  The video opens with an epic shot flying across Bacuit Bay toward a steep "mini-mountain", with Corong-Corong Beach on the right.  As the drone ascends, you'll also get a look at El Nido Bay.

Jibo888 created this brilliant 4k drone video of Pangasinan, a province of western Luzon in the Philippines.  Situated north northwest of Manila in the area surrounding the Gulf of Lingayen, the native inhabitants of Pangasinan maintain a distinctive culture and language.  The video includes aerial footage of some of the region's most well-known spots, including the Hundred Islands National Park, Alaminos City, Tondaligan beach, Natividad Pangasinan, Maranum Falls, Bolinao Beach Resort, and more.
