Serbia is one of the countries which emerged in Southeastern Europe from the dissolution of Yugoslavia in the early 1990s, becoming (as it had been for a time before World War I) an independent country. Since Montenegro voted for independence in 2006, Serbia has been landlocked. It's a mountainous land, the northern portion of which is part of the Carpathian Mountains region and the southern portion of which is part of the Balkan Peninsula. It's home to cosmopolitan cities like Belgrade, countless Eastern Orthodox churches, and incredible waterfalls. Here are the best drone videos from this very old land, which Culture Trip has recently called an undiscovered gem.
